Here are some of my favorite projects including Albums, Film and Television.

The Mars Volta – Engineer and Editor, “The Bedlam in Goliath.” (AT the time with Universal-GSL, Charted #3 on the Billboard200); Mixed, “La Riviera: Live in Madrid” (Release date TBD currently only available here for listening)

Omar Rodríguez-López Group – Mixing, six of Omar’s solo efforts on the Willie Anderson Records label including his collaboration with Lydia Lunch (Controversial feminist beat poet.) This was kind of special because of how unique the project was and also because we mixed this at Electric Ladyland (Jimi Hendrix’s old studio in Manhattan). Check out Omar’s solo stuff at: HYPERLINK http://www.myspace.com/willieandersonrecordings

Saosin – Mastering and additional Mixing, “Saosin” (Capital Records)  This band got, like, 12 million plays on their mySpace page from this EP.  They are in a class by themselves.  Guitarist, Producer, Engineer Beau Burchell is a former student of mine, and it’s nice to see their tours getting even bigger.   HYPERLINK "http://www.myspace.com/saosin" or  HYPERLINK www.saosin.com

Bleeding Through – Engineer, “This Is Love, This Is Murderous” (Trustkill Records) This band is a staple at OzzFest and has blown up all over the Hardcore scene. HYPERLINK http://www.bleedingthrough.com

Buchanan – Producer, Engineer, Mixing, “True Love” (EP, Self Released).  Mixing, “All Understood” (LP, Ultimatum Music).  In addition to mixing “All Understood,” I tracked several of the songs including Plans, Reborn, and American Son. I am very proud of the work we’ve done together and look forward to them getting the recognition they deserve.  HYPERLINK "http://www.myspace.com/buchananmusiconline"

Real Big Fish –Engineer, Mixer, “Cheer Up” (Mojo Records); Co-Producer, Engineer, Mixing, “Were not happy Till Your Not Happy” (Jive/Zomba); Producer, “The Kellogg’s Rice Crispy Commercial”(Not Pressed). Front man Aarron Barrett is a blast to work because he is almost as anal-retentive as me! HYPERLINK http://www.reelbigfish.com

Carl Verheyen – Co-Producer, Engineer, Mixer, “Six” (CMG-Mighty Tiger Records) Carl tours with Supertramp (You know, “Breakfast In America” - 18 million copies sold!) and is also an A-List session player. He has literally played on thousands of dates. I remember taking a break with Carl when we were recording and we watched a little TV in the studio lounge. A commercial came on and Carl started laughing because he played on it. Then the next commercial came on and he played on it too! Two commercials later, there was another one. I knew that he was prolific, but I couldn’t believe just how much this guy has done. The Six CD also features my buddy Steve Distanislao on drums – he’s now playing with some dude named David Gilmore…ha ha! Cliff Hugo lays down some tasty bass on that album too. Science Fiction Theater - Engineer, Produced, Mixed this band from Rancho. Killer tunes, great writing, the record turned out awesome (can i say that?) really proud of the work we did. check them out HYPERLINK http://www.myspace.com/sftrock

Mark Romero – Mixing, “Beyond the Wall,” (Self Released); Mixing, “Suenos Infinitos” (Self Released) This is classical guitar and New Age combined together to make music that will soothe your savage soul. The music that I mixed for Mark accidentally fell into the hands of Dr. Ronald Jones, a quantum physicist doing a study on harmonic frequencies and the effect of those frequencies on the human body and mind. Dr. Jones studied the music and then contacted Mark to let him know that he and his team had discovered that energy frequencies in Mark’s music actually harmonized the flow of energy in the body and the brain! This resulted in an “instant increase of strength, heightened consciousness and the reduction of stress.” Wow! (Of course I told Mark that it was because of my mixing and that if he mixes without me he will lose those frequencies…So, now I’ve got a client for life!) “Bring It On” Recorded and Mixed featured song and sang backing vocals, played acoustic guitar. The story here is that I thought the movie would flop because the working copy we had was terrible – it looked like it was a film school project. Well, I didn’t realize that Kirsten Dunst was every school boy’s fantasy, and when I tried to see the movie on opening night it was already sold out for three days! When I finally got in, there were like 500 cheerleaders and 250 high school boys in the theater! It was a hit!
